The routing and switching protocol knowledge from this certification will provide a lasting foundation as these skills are equally relevant in the physical networks of today and the virtualized network functions of tomorrow. It should therefore be no surprise that Cisco have just announced a refresh of its flagship CCNP curriculum.
Technology advancements and changes in job requirements have led to an increased focus on routing and switching technologies, Cisco therefore decided to re-brand bringing the certification in line with other technology focused professional – level certifications.
